Our mission is deeply personal because we’ve lived it.

In the spring of 1978, our founder, Jim Hangstefer, was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer at just 23 years old. His wife, Pat, was eight months pregnant with their first child when they received the devastating news.

After seeking spiritual guidance, Jim opted for surgery, but only 80% of the tumor could be removed. The remaining tumor presented a life-threatening challenge.

Chemotherapy was offered as the only option, but Jim, with support from Pat’s parents, chose to pursue natural alternatives instead. His natural treatment regimen was intense—at one point, Jim was taking 200 supplements a day—but it worked.

Two years later, Jim had completely beaten his brain cancer without a single round of chemotherapy.

After his remarkable recovery, Jim began receiving requests for advice from friends who wanted to know how they could achieve similar results. The word spread, and soon he was helping others on their healing journeys.

Out of gratitude for his own healing, Jim and Pat founded Nature’s Finest Nutrition, and today, Jim, Pat, their daughter Emily, and daughter-in-law Erin continue to run the company with pride, helping people across the U.S. live healthier, more natural lives.
